Jammers Thanksgiving Dinner
San Diego Charger Quentin Jammer hosts Thanksgiving for students and staff of San Pasqual Academy through the Jammer Family Foundation at the San Diego Hall of Champions on Monday, November 23, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 PM.

Students will be treated to a traditional Southern style dinner including fried turkey, candied yams, and all the trimmings. Citing the importance of providing a family atmosphere for children, the Jammer Foundation wants the students to know they are a part of their extended family.

The Jammer Family Foundation was formed in 2007 by Quentin and Alicia Jammer to empower disadvantaged youth in San Diego, and to provide support needed to develop educational and professional potential. Growing up in Angleton, Texas, The Jammer’s witnessed firsthand the impact violence and neglect have on youth. When the Jammer’s moved to San Diego, they vowed to be a positive force in the community and aid programs that teach students the importance of education and perseverance. They believe that each child deserves an equal opportunity for education and athletics. The Jammer’s also understand how easy getting off track can be, thus emphasizing the need for a strong support system.

In addition to Quentin, The San Diego Charger girls will be there to perform as well as face painters, magicians, and balloon and caricature artists. Entertainment from the Mystic Steppers who will be performing their award winning Jai Ho routine seen at this years’ Salute to the Teachers Award Show.

Also performing is Melissa Reyes who rose to stardom as a finalist for the reality show The Pussycat Dolls Presents Search For The Next Doll. Coincidentally, Reyes has just released her album on the independent label Her Majesty Group, which includes the hit single “You Cant Stop This Girl”.
